At thePack.in, we believe that pet parenting is not a journey you go on alone, parents and their dogs alike can benefit from the experiences of other pet parents as well as the knowledge experts have to offer.

With that in mind, we want to make this community the go-to place for you to find like-minded parents to learn and grow with and to eventually be better parents to your dogs. The following community guidelines have been crafted to ensure that every member of this community feels welcome, safe, and respected.

We ask you to take a few moments to read through these guidelines and keep them in mind while interacting with the group.

1. Respect each other's opinions and experiences. We all have different ideas and approaches to pet care, so please be mindful of each other's viewpoints and avoid attacking or belittling other members.
   
2. Keep it clean. Abusive language or personal attacks will not be tolerated. If you are sharing content that may be disturbing, please add trigger warnings before posting in the group.
   
3. The community group is created to help you and pet parents like you! This is your space to reach out to like-minded pet parents for pet parenting advice, have meaningful discussions, share your own experiences and more. So be open to learning, especially from viewpoints that may be different from yours.
   
 
4. Give back to the community more than you take.
   
This means, feel free to share your learnings and experiences, you never know who will benefit from it. 
5. The community is an advertisement-free zone.
   
Any affiliations with a brand should be declared before joining the group. Any genuine feedback or review of a product you have used is welcome.
6. Always listen to the moderators of the group.   The community mentors as well as the recognized experts of the group are to arbitrate in case of any conflicts or violations of the community guidelines.
   
7. Refrain from giving medical advise.
   
Refrain from giving medical advise or recommending medicines. As much as we want to help our fellow pet parents, each dog is different and so will the treatment for any ailment.
8. Posts on buying/selling of dogs are strictly prohibited
   
Any posts that promote selling of dogs or pertain to buying of dogs are not allowed on the community. Buying/Selling of dogs on online platform is illegal as per the Pet Shop Rules of 2018. Such posts will be taken down immediately.
9. Please refrain from mating or breeding related requests 
   
Breeding is a complex science, best practiced by experts and breeding without a license is illegal in India. Any messages posted with regards to finding a mate for your dog will be deleted by admins immediately
10. Please refrain from fundraising on the community The purpose of thePack.in community is to help spread education and awareness on pet parenting. We are not equipped to ensure a healthy fund raising process on the platform (one that is safe for everyone to contribute towards or where our mods can run necessary background checks). Kindly refrain from sharing funding related requests on the group, there are a lot of other fundraising platforms that are much better equipped to handle the process than we are.
    

Enforcement of the Community Guidelines

1. If you come across a post that violates any of the community guidelines, please bring them to the attention of thePack mentors, who can then address the situation.
   
2. A strict three-strike rule will be enforced in violation of community guidelines. In case, someone strikes out three times, the moderator team will decide the quantum of punishment - which can range from losing post rights to permanent suspension of membership.
   
3. Discretionary action: In certain cases, the mentors may take discretionary action, such as the deletion of the post or temporarily limiting activities in the group.
   

We hope that this enforcement policy helps to maintain a positive and safe environment for all members of the group.
