The Professional Canine Trainer Course is conducted by Shirin Dhabhar, India’s foremost canine expert and the founder of “Canines Can Care”. A veteran with over 25 years of experience, Shirin has been working in the field of canine behaviour and training from 1995 in India. She has pioneered modern canine education in India through her behaviour counseling sessions, certification courses and educational events
Shirin holds an international accreditation from the Kennel Club of England’s Accredited Instructor Scheme - the KCAI in Companion Animal Training and in Behavioural Training. She is the only one from Asia and one of only 9 people worldwide to achieve this prestigious accreditation. Among other accolades, Shirin was also awarded the International Commendation for Trainer of the Year award by the Kennel Club of England at the Crufts International Dog Show in 2015
Her institute - Canines Can Care is a one-of-its-kind organisation that aims to further the understanding of dogs in India. Apart from certifying and training over 1000 professional trainers and behaviourists, CCC has also pioneered several novel programs in India including the Assistance Dogs and Search and Rescue Dogs initiatives. The Canines Can Care search and rescue dog team was also involved in the rescue efforts during the aftermath of Gujarat earthquake.
