Scooby’s is a dog boarding facility in Nalsarvovar, offering pet dogs a peaceful retreat away from the bustling city life of Ahmedabad. It was founded and is run by Suhani Jain Gehlot and Digviraj Singh, and their adorable baby girl who is a delight to spend time with, the dogs will confirm!
Suhani is a certified kennel boarder from Canines Can Care and is the primary person in charge of running the facility. They have a group of skilled staff at Scooby’s, trained on the job, who take care of the dogs. Scooby’s also organizes small hikes around the facility for pet parents over the weekends.

Review of the Dog Boarding Facility
Scooby’s is located in Nalsarovar which is 62 km (an hour-long drive) away from Ahmedabad. The facility is spread over an area of 1200 square yards, covered with greenery around. They have 25 kennels in total, which has a combination of AC and Non-AC rooms with windows and fans in every room. Each dog is kept in a separate kennel unless two dogs from the same family are requested to be kept together.
Scooby’s also has three fenced play areas which are further divided into three categories – an area for small breeds, a dry play area for dogs with skin allergies, and a separate space for reactive/aggressive dogs. They also have a small space with agility set up for dogs to expend their energy. They have a vet on-call available too in case of medical emergencies!
The place is constantly cleaned, and freshwater is available in every area throughout the day. They have a medium-sized swimming pool for the water babies. There is an arrangement made for the grooming sessions required post-pool time, and also take care of the grooming post the pool sessions. Ticks and fleas treatment is done throughout the facility at regular intervals.

Meal Options
The dogs are provided with freshly cooked meals that include chicken/egg, rice, & curd. The frequency depends on the requirement of the parent. In case the pet is on kibbles or anything else in particular, the parent can provide the same at the time of the drop-off.
Boarding Process
The boarding process at Scooby’s is relatively simple.
- Parents are expected to fill out a Google form and agree to the terms and conditions mentioned in the form to confirm their booking.
- You can drop your pet off at the facility or book their pick-drop service.
- When it comes to health & hygiene checks, Scooby's requires up-to-date vaccination certificates and recommends tick prevention treatment to be administered before dropping your dogs at the facility.

“My opinion is slightly biased and may come from the fact that my dog always has a great time at Scooby’s. I do believe that the staff there is sensitive and responsible and above all, Suhani herself looks into everything at the facility.
The dog-to-dog interactions do bother me a little as a trainer. Dogs may end up picking unwanted behaviour or aggression through these long interactions. However, the good thing is that these are supervised play sessions, and at least one staff member will always be in the play area with the dogs. They are never left unattended.
If you’re thinking of sending your pet to Scooby’s, please make sure that you inform the staff clearly of your dog’s behaviour and requirements. Do not shy away from requesting them to keep your pet separately in case your pet is protective about their space or is unsure of meeting other dogs.”

Payment Structure
The charges are breed-specific for a 24-hr service. Parents with Indies have an advantage on the boarding charges due to the clear inclination the founders have towards Indies. 😀

- Medium Breeds – INR 900/-
- Small Breeds – INR 750/-
- Toy Breeds – INR 650/-
- Indies Breeds – INR 500/-
Centre Timings
The facility is open to visitors every day from 8 AM to 8 PM. Pet parents are welcome anytime between the above-mentioned time, preferably with prior notice.
