Rainbow Pupsicles: Dog Ice-Cream Recipes

Prepping time: 05 minutes
Cooking time: 05 minutes

Total time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:
  • 40 grams of dog-friendly fruits (strawberries, watermelon, mangoes, etc.)
  • 10 ml of goat milk / One tablespoon of curd (Optional)
  • 10 grams of soaked chia seeds (Optional)
  • Jerky sticks or thin bone treats your dog likes

Kitchen tools:
  • Blender or Mixer
  • Silicon moulds or disposable plastic cups for freezing the popsicle
  • Measuring cups (Optional)
Instructions:
  • Chop up your dog’s favourite fruits into smaller pieces. Ensure that the fruits are safe for dogs and deseed them.

  • Toss them in your blender with some water or a few spoons of curd or goat milk and blend again to make a smooth puree. You can also add your soaked chia seeds for some extra goodness.

  • If you are using a traditional ice cream or kulfi mould, you can use your dog’s favourite jerky as a popsicle stick!

  • Once ready, add it to your favourite ice cream mould. If you don’t have one, you can use a simple, plastic disposable bowl that you can cut through once your popsicle is frozen.

  • Freeze it for three hours or overnight.

  • Voila! Your delicious popsicle is ready to serve.

Chef’s Tip: Instead of blending all the ingredients at once, top up and freeze each layer one over the other so that your dog can savour the different tastes and textures of each layer!
