Easter Eggs for Dogs: Recipe Instructions

Method 1: Naturally Dyed Easter Eggs with Veggies
  • Boil your eggs for 7-8 minutes till they are cooked well.
  • Chop up your favourite vegetables and boil them in 2-3 cups of water for 15-20 minutes in separate saucepans.
  • Once your vegetables are boiled and the water is coloured, you can strain the vegetables and set the water aside.
  • Peel your eggs and dip them in the coloured water for two to three hours.
  • Voila! Your colourful easter eggs are ready!

Method 2: Fruit-Painted Easter Eggs
  • Boil your eggs for 7-8 minutes and peel the egg shells once they have cooled down.
  • Divide your curd into multiple small bowls and add the puree of each fruit you’ve chosen. You can also add a pinch of turmeric or blue or green spirulina powder to a couple of bowls.
  • You can blend this mixture for a smoother, even colouring or leave chunks for some exciting patterns.
  • Dip Method: Submerge the egg in the puree. You can choose one fruit colour per egg or dip them in multiple for some colourful patterns. Once they are decorated, freeze them for 1-2 hours to create a cold, tasty coating.
  • Paint Method: Take a clean, food-safe paintbrush, dip it in your fruit blends to create designs. Once they are decorated, freeze them for a couple of hours.
  • Serve cold and watch your dog enjoy the burst of flavours as the coating crumbles away!
Chef’s Tips:
  • You can top off the eggs with some dehydrated treat crumbles before freezing for that extra crunch!
  • Ditch the food bowl and hide the Easter eggs in safe & clean places around your house and let your dog go exploring!
